two rulers walk into a bar [closed to kyah]

[Not too long ago, Chaldea was shocked by the arrival of a new yet familiar Servant. Though he had the same white hair and frigid blue eyes, there was a different softness in his expressions. He wore a long white coat, a white cravat and a patterned white vest over a dark shirt and black trousers, and his sword, broad and blunt, sported a pair of scales at the hilt. He was quicker to smile than to frown.

Thus did Chaldea record the summoning of Charles-Henri Sanson, Ruler class. After Abigail Williams managed to return his memories of Salem to him, something curious happened. Instead of the Assassin Servant with the same Spirit Origin finally recalling the events of Salem up to his sacrificial death, a new Servant arrived - Charles-Henri Sanson also, but with full memories of Salem, and without a wish for the Grail to grant. Since Sanson had long wished for an opportunity for atonement, upon realizing that he had acquired exactly that in Salem by marching to the gallows, he no longer had a desire for the Grail.

Ruler Sanson had no more reason to be sad or to brood. He was always cheerful in a calming way, eager to help Chaldea in any way he can. Except that he showed up during a time when Chaldea was quiet, and the world tranquil like an undisturbed stream.

Today seemed to be the same. At least that meant time for tea, and conversations with the other Servants. With the weight of his guilt and shame lifted from his shoulders, Sanson could now freely enjoy everything his new life has to offer. So here he is, walking up to another Ruler. A Ruler who was also summoned recently, another version of a Servant already contracted with Chaldea...]

It has been a while since the world has had need of Chaldea, Siegfried. What do you make of this?

[Rulers are not common amongst the Servants of Chaldea.

To be certain, they're there, and are a decent force if there's a threat against humanity- but Rulers tend to be sparse among the many, to only really react as a counter if something has gone wrong in a Holy Grail War. It is not common for them to gather in one location, much less for one to even materialize into being summoned.

And yet.

Here in Chaldea the abnormal is considered rather normal, the strange and odd nothing more than a usual day to day activity, the excessive as practical. There are replicas of Saberfaces, assassins sent to murder said Saberfaces, assassins for the assassins murdering Saberfaces- the point being, that Servants come from different walks of life, and to see another at a point where he was more stable, more content... there was no amount of words that could have described the joy on Ritsuka's face when Sanson had returned.

As of right now? Well. The question, of course, is very different from usual- for Chaldea, at least. It was mostly an assumption that the staff threw around, and one Siegfried couldn't blame them for. Not one for paranoia, but rather caution; far too used to things trying to work against him in a large scale, he's spent time on and off always alert and preparing for something just in case.]

It's always the quietest before the storm. [He blinks for a moment, before realizing how serious the statement sounds and he chuckles. Shaking his head, he explains.] Forgive me, I'm still in the mindset of the Rheingold sabotaging what it must. [He exhales.] That is to say that I do not expect the worst, but old habits have me wondering when we'll find the next anomaly- I imagine that enemies of humanity won't ever rest, not truly.
