Becoming human is not strictly necessary to the experience, though I suspect it might prove to be a temptation I would have to fend off. I simply wish to experience what it's like to deal with being beached and the level of mobility one has in such a situation.

Your suggestion begs a question, however: if the choker were removed prematurely, what would happen to the rest of the remaining time? And I ask again, how long must one wait between uses?
